Description

Just a simple tool to rewind filament with the help of an electric drill and any spool holder.
I'm using a sponge to guide the filament.

The thread can be a little tricky to print but it should have more than enough clearance to also work if it doesn't turn out great.

max. width: 100mm
max. inner diameter: 75mm

all printed fine besides the drill attachment. not enough infill. it just breaks off even holding a cardboard spool

can’t you figure it out? could you easily increase infills?

When you're looking for 'something quick & simple' and not all of the options/updates/upgrades - HERE IT IS! There is a real beauty in not connecting the drill shaft to the spindle; such that if/when it breaks - very easy to replace! (I've made a handful with about 50% infill and have served me well). Thanks so much for sharing with us! (NOTE: Drill not included)

Glad you like it so much. I‘m honestly baffled by this design getting so much downloads. haha

....build a better mousetrap..... Sure - the Pastamatic is cool....but when you don't have time/energy/need for all of that and need something simple.....tada! It really helped me out of a jam!

This print turned out great. It's an easy and not so bulky solution for transferring filament to other spools. Thanks for the design!!

Works very well! My only issue was printing of supports for and bottom of pin piece, they caused it to come out very rough and marred piece, not smooth like remainder of print. can’t I used a butaine lighter to try to smooth, that’s why the slightly uneven edge look. can’t really reorient as would weaken piece. maybe print it separately with slower speed? Very happy with though, pin maybe my printer error.

I used a X1C and mine was smooth, neither used a butane lighter nor a tool. Also, I see a change of material between the black and green. Was the PLA dry? Either way, thanks for the rating.

It was a good print, I used an X1C on mine as well, the dual color was just my 1st stab at using my AMS. I thought this rating was for the Bambu Labs printer, not the creator of the print, sorry. seems it was a really rough auto support that attached too well and filament wasn’t extruded smoothly on the underside of this bit, everything else was good. Just most likely filament error, it was dry, every other piece was perfect, just the underside of the key bit wasn’t great.
