Description

A miniature for tabletop players showing a human male Wizard.

The miniature comes in 3 variations:

- with round base (_rb)

- with square base (_sb)

- with hexagonal base (_hb)

As the model needs support, I used “Tree slim”.

prints much better then expected for the P1S. I broke the staff so that’s on me. I really like this

The staff is quite delicate. It may be necessary to experiment with the support structures and draw them manually to ensure that the entire staff is not enveloped by the supports. I had the same issue when removing them, and the staff broke.

yeah thank you! I’ll try changing the supports. but honestly if I just went slower I think I could have gotten it off without breaking it.

I'll try to create an updated version with a different staff - little bit thicker and a top part, that is easier to print, so it doesn't need support.

The supports seem a bit heavy-handed, this is my first miniature print so there's perhaps something I can do to fix that. Overall it looks super cool though and the level of detail is impressive

Regarding the supports, you're absolutely right. This was my second miniature model that I uploaded and I wasn't much experienced with supports and relied too much on the slicer. On the other hand, my experience with removing support structures wasn't great either, so I though that if I was able to remove supports successfully, then others should be able too. The branches of the tree support have to be carefully separated. At the thicker parts of the tree, I use needle nose pliers to squish the structure flat and then I cut it there. This way I can easily remove the lower parts of the tree structure. If the upper branches of the structure enclose the model on two sides, these branches must also first be separated from each other so that they can be removed in different directions.

Broke the staff while removing the supports. Was going to print again after modifying the support but was able to glue it back and won’t be noticeable after it’s painted. Great detail!

supports were a bit heavy handed and broke the more detailed part of the model.

Support Issue:Printed at decent quality and fast but my god the supports are awful to remove and it took me 2 try’s to get them off. The model is way to fragile to have supports like this, you need a much larger interface distance and manual supports. The parts that got held up by supports are supported from 3 side fully engulfing it in the support making it take longer to remove support than it takes to print. In the process the staff also broke and had to be glued back together.
