Description

I designed these after not being able to find beads with the symbols I wanted. They were created using an (included) OpenSCAD script.

Important: Read instructions before printing to avoid errors!

There are two ways to print them: multicolor with an AMS (show in the lower rows) or single color and then paint them (shown in the upper rows). Painting requires a very steady hand and very fine brush. You can tell from the photo that I'm not very good at it.

Designed for a 0.2mm nozzle. I haven't tested them with larger nozzles.

Good bed adhesion is essential. There are lots of small sections inside letters which need to be properly adhered to the bed. I normally print directly on PEI but for these I used glue stick.

Copy and paste all 3 parts of the letters you want in the quantity you want. Unfortunately there's no way that I've found to organize the parts when exporting from OpenSCAD, and similarly no way that I can see to move parts of an assembly to a new assembly in Bambu Studio.

You can use the included OpenSCAD script to generate beads in any size, font, or symbols you like. However you must use one of the more recent nightly builds which supports lazy union. This is important for being able to have multiple objects for painting in a .3MF file. There is a bug with Bambu Studio's slicer wherein if you just paint the solid beads they'll get these little blobs around them, so the multicolored beads are exported as assemblies with 3 separate objects.

In addition to the script you will need the fonts M Plus Rounded Extra Bold (for letter beads) and Font Awesome Brands (for logo beads) in the same folder.

Those look great! And probably print much faster than they do with the 0.2.

These work Fabulously. So much easier to just print the letters I need versus going to the store and hoping there's enough in the bag. Easy to paint so you can choose your own letter colors as well.

I only own a 0.4 nozzle but the print worked for most of the letters and symbols. Only printing in multicolor mode has so much purge and painting hundreds of beads is to much. The investment in a new nozzle purely for this purpose (in my case) is unfortunately higher than buying a box of beads on Amazon. I will occasionally print some single beads with special design from this batch, this will work out great!
