This is a 1:1 3d printed replica of a M829A1 APFSDS-T (Armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot-tracer) tank shell!
The perfect conversation piece for a mancave or as a retirement gift. Made from 16 individual pieces this titanic 3d print is quite the commitment. But being able to hold a 1:1 scale APFSDS-T shell at the end is a worthwhile experience.
On my printer this ended up using 1.2Kg of filament with all the parts taking around 78 hours to print on a near stock ender 3, altho I am sure it could be printed faster and with less filament if you did not plan to handle the shell as much and were alright with lowering the wall thickness.
I just printed parts in the right color from the fillament, but there is enough tolerance in the part fitment if you wanted to spray paint parts before assembly.
