Description

With permission from the original creator @BPmakesthings I have converted his low poly golden retriever into a glasses/remote or phone holder. I Converted the model into a bust, added a slot in the top for holding items and created a custom base for it.

His original model is here: https://www.printables.com/model/412112-low-poly-dog-golden-retriever-labrador-decoration-

Can't mark is as a remix as his original license doesn't allow but I have included the screenshot of his permission as long as its not sold and I credited him.

I used Colorfabb woodfill for the dog head and applied some darker stain to it. For the base I used colorfabb bronzefill which has actual bronze powder in it which can be sanded and polished to a really nice finish. It also has the benefit of adding a lot of weight.

If using this to hold something heavier than glasses you may want to increase the infill on the base or add a hole to fill the base with something for more weight.

The Dog head has been modified very slightly to try and solve the problem Zixxer10r was seeing by increasing the surface area on the first layer.

this print fails in the same spot every single time. the part just to the right of the tree that will eventually support the nose does not have enough surface area to hold on to itself.

Hi, sorry to hear you’ve had an issue with the model. I printed it several times in different materials and didn’t have an issue but I’ll have a look at it tomorrow and see if I can improve it.
