Description
The Motherland Monument(Батьківщина-мати) is a colossal statue of a woman holding a sword and a shield, which stands on a hill overlooking the Dnieper River in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It was built in 1981 as part of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.
