Vacuum Drill Dust Collector

 

You can get version V2 files here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/391549 . Compared to V1, the V2 version fine-tuned some pre-bridging for a more stable printing result.

 

Notice: This dust collector is designed as a consumable item to reduce material consumption and printing time. It can handle at least 20 usages, which is enough for a normal day installation. Its design is purely functional, so may not look good. But it surely works perfectly.

 

Pre-support with a thin wall, and print with PLA filament will be great. You don't need to add support while slicing, but you must use the Arachne wall generator. Print and remove support, and you are good to go.

 

You could apply some masking tape on the top and bottom wings, to make sure this collector doesn't have any gap with the wall, and will not move while drilling. The inner diameter of the vacuum tube is 31mm, which is suitable for most vacuum tubes.

What does "pre-support with thin wall" mean?

you don't need to add support, because the top layers are supported by a thin wall manually added.

Print came out ok. Top layer seems a bit to wide,I will use a smaller outer diameter for my next adapter.
