Description

Parametric LEGOBRICK-Compatible Baseplate

This is a fully parametric LEGOBRICK-compatible base plate, Feels like real! Designed for accurate 3D printing and easy customization. The best results were achieved with PETG-HF. The ready-made printing profiles have been thoroughly tested and adjusted for easy printing. So if you are using a customization tool, you will get the best results by copying the settings from the ready-made print profile to your customized model.

  • Calibrated for Bambulab PLA Basic and PETG-HF filaments
  • Compatible with commercial building blocks

Do not use matte PLA due to poor layer adhesion! Studs come off too easily. Bambulab PETG-HF, ABS and PLA Basic  tested and found to work.

 

Shrinkage Compensation:


Includes a shrinkage factor parameter to slightly scale the model up and compensate for plastic shrinkage during printing:

  • PLA: recommended value 1.001
  • PETG: recommended value 1.001
  • ABS: recommended value 1.003

A 1×30 test plate is included for measuring thermal expansion and fine-tuning printer calibration.

STEP File Calibration:
All STEP files are pre-calibrated for material shrinkage for PLA and PETG-HF plastics
Only the stud diameter may need fine-tuning, which can be done by adjusting X-Y Contour Compensation in your slicer to match your specific printer.

 

Print Recommendation:


Before printing large plates, it is recommended to first print a small test plate (for example 4×4) to verify that:

  • Stud dimensions are correct
  • LEGOBRICK fit snugly and lock firmly into the plate
