Description

This set of stacking coffee tools is designed for a 51mm portafilter and is intended to make espresso prep a bit easier and a lot tidier.

The files included are a portafilter holder to give a stable base while dosing and tamping, and a puck removal tool.

I created these because when I use a knock box with my portafilter, the inner basket comes out, making a mess.

The puck remover has two steel pins (2mm diameter) that push into the puck. You can then rotate the tool a few times and give the portafilter a gentle tap to remove the puck. I have also tried adding moulded pins/fins to the puck remover with good success; however, I like the steel pins better.

If you are worried about damaging your portafilter, feel free to remix the model (I would love to see your improvements).

The portafilter holder has two holes that the puck remover's pins slot into, allowing everything to stack neatly together. The puck remover has an indent on top allowing the dosing funnel and tamper to sit securely on top when not in use.

My tamper and dosing funnel came with an additional rubber mat which fits on the bottom of the portafilter holder (roughly 64mm), and it all sits neatly on top of my coffee jar.

Here is a tamper and dosing funnel to the one I have: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DP4QGKDV?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1
