Description

Hi, this is the first model that I share enjoy and take pictures if you decide to build it.

First of all, since its a very rounded shape it will need to be sanded a bit in order to look good as a lamp.

List of materials:

12V LED https://a.co/d/a6lAxJf

1x PWM dc motor speed controller https://a.co/d/imiRylr

1x 5/16" tube 10" long https://a.co/d/8D99HEY

VHB 2 sided tape tape

Barrel connector ex: https://a.co/d/hGC3Q3D

12V power supply(matching the barrel connector) ex: https://a.co/d/8NFmRw4

4 M3 Screws

18AWG wire

Preference type of weight for the base, I used lead beads in ziplog bags

In order to make this build I laser cut the “LedHolders” from acrylic, I assume this isn't totally necessary but decide to do it for safety purposes, 3D printing them out of ABS or other heat resistant materials would probably also work. The other option is to use thick wire and melting it into the mount to give you some height.

First VHB rape the PWM controller to the top base, you can add the knob at this point.

Solder the 18AWG wire to the led and give yourself some slack(Add some heat shrink to the soldered wire). Route it through the holder and the tube and finally the base. You can see where the LED holders mount to on the image below.

Connect the wires to the right place on the motor controller(LED is bidirectional so it doesn't matter)

Glue the legs to the body of the Warawara, I used a a flat solder tip to close the gaps from poor printing.

The next step is a bit complicated, turn the Warawara upside down and give yourself some slack on the led, place the LED inside it and bend the holders slightly inwards so the can fit though the hole. Stretch the wire from the bottom until it holds in place.

Add you preferred weight in the bottom(This step is not necessary but will prevent it from falling)

Close it up and don't forget to send a picture when done :)
