Honing Tool

This is a DIY honing tool designed for smoothing the inner surface of pneumatic motor cylinders, such as those used in air tools and pneumatic wrenches.

The tool is powered by a Dremel using a standard 12.5 mm rubber sanding drum expansion mechanism, allowing the honing head to rotate smoothly inside the cylinder.

It was designed to help correct surface imperfections left by 3D printing, improve internal smoothness, and prepare the cylinder for proper motor assembly.

This tool is intended for light-duty honing and fine surface finishing, especially for prototype and DIY pneumatic projects.

The tool is assembled using standard metric hardware.

• 3× M2.5 screws (20 mm length)
  – with washers and nuts
• 3× M3 screws (16 mm length)
  – with washers and nuts

Total:

6 screws (3× M2.5 + 3× M3), all with matching washers and nuts.
