Description

A very simple sanding block!

Recommended to print in PETG, but PLA will work fine.

Main block: The main part, should be sturdy (20%+ infill, 1.6mm walls)

Wedge: keeps the sandpaper in place, doesn't need to be sturdy

Bolt: needs to be printed in high infill - 30%

The block is well scalable and easy to put together.

I directly printed two of them for having two different sand paper with different grits (P320 and P3000), but I think I will print at least other 3 of them. After checking it I'm leaving here some useful information for other users: there are two ways of fixing the sand paper: one with the screw passing through two holes cut in the sand paper, the other is without crossing the screw. I created and attached here a design of how you need to create the two different papers.

Works so great ! I needed a sanding block for hand sanding my knives. I was using a wooden stick with double sided tape and it was a pain in the **** to use. This block do the job perfectly! Is it possible to have the f3d file or can you make a 25 mm wide sanding block since almost all sanding roll on Amazon are 25 mm wide.

Came out great printed in Bambu basic pla. Adjusted infill on the bolt to 30% as recommended.. I like the sizing since it only needs about a 9" length of sandpaper, allowing you to cut 8 or 9 strips out of a standard 9x11 sheet.
