Description

Each patch has 16 elements (4x4) 🧩  🧩  🧩

No supports needed for printing āœ…

and it assembles without glue āœ…

For multi-color printing, I have added 3mf files. Alternatively, you can manually load the basse_4x4.stl and top_4x4.stl files into the slicer as a single object with multiple parts. After that, in the Objects tab, change the color to the one you want.

An 8x8 napkin can be assembled from 4 elements. This is the minimum number that will give you even edges.

To connect the fabric, significant force is required šŸ’Ŗ

It's easier not to do it like in my animation, but to put it on the floor and press down with something.

The joint remains flexible āœ…

I've also added triangles for creating a more exotic shape.

It's even harder to disconnect. But I found a good method if it's ever needed.Ā
You need to take a men's nail file (often called a needle file šŸ˜‰), press it as shown below, insert the flush cutters (which usually come with the 3d printer) into the groove, which is only present on the pin side, and with the resulting lever, carefully push it upwards.Ā
Of course, don't press on the handles as intended for the cutters šŸ™‚.

I've also added a Lite version without the intermediate stripes.Ā
The top layer is separate, so you can color it however you like.

For convenience, merge the objects, and set the infill to smart fill angle 90.

The bottom drawing additionally helps control the assembly.
