Description

This is my stab at making a motorized turntable. Can be printed with regular PLA using Standard 0.20mm profile. Great for taking images of products, doing 3D Scans or making product videos. Tested with 200rpm motor to function without hiccups with items that were up to 300g in weight.

Printable Parts list:

  1. Main top piece x1
  2. Main bottom piece x1
  3. Bearing mounts x4
  4. Top ring (Printed in TPU for extra smoothness. This part is optional.) x1
  5. Feet (Printed in TPU to dampen any vibrations and reduce noise. This part is optional) x4
  6. DC Motor Gear x1

Purchasable Parts List (Affiliate links):

  1. 608 Bearings x6
  2. DC Motor. I'd suggest 50 to 200.
  3. USB cable
  4. Soldering iron

Notes:

  1. The feet are very difficult to fit in. Push them in by hand as far as you can, use pliers to wiggle the top in more by slightly pulling on it at the same time. Then once you have a decent chunk of the top to grab onto, grab it with pliers and push the feet in and at the same time pull on them with pliers - this will require some force but they will pop in place.
  2. When time permits I want to improve on this model and add support for different motors, quieter motors, motors with more torque, and speed modules.
