Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my designs, you can support my work with a boost!

A cozy mushroom-shaped lamp that adds warm light and a touch of whimsy to any space.

It supports three lights: The LED Lamp Kit, the RGBW Puck Lights as well as standard Tea Lights.

You can print the cap either with or without dots. The base model without dots does not require an AMS or glue for assembly, all parts simply screw into each other.

The Cap with dots can either be printed with an AMS or with separate dots which need to be glued to the cap. The slots for the dots are self aligning, so it's very easy to glue them on.

The shade can only be used with the LED Lamp Kit and Puck Light base - you can use all bases without the shade if you like.

All parts are modular if you ever want to use a different light source or cap.

The matching mini version from the photos can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2138708

Printing

All parts were designed to be printable without support. Still, I added a small manual support to the round caps to help with the bridging. For all caps I added adaptive layer height towards the top and concentric top layers to get a smooth and round top.

The shade should be printed with Basic PLA. Avoid Matte PLAs as they are not transparent enough.

Assembly

All parts screw together, no other parts or screws are needed for assembly.

The only part that requires glue is the dotted cap without AMS. Simply put a drop of glue on the center of the slot and put the dot in place.

Tea Light Option with Shade [Experimental]

I intended the tea light version of this lamp to be used without a shade, since most tea lights are not bright enough to illuminate the shade. I now also added an optional tea light base that allows screwing on the shade, as well as a Shade in vase mode to help with brightness. They can be found as a new profile and are compatible with all variants.
