This is my Filter Inferno. It is for heating the chamber and keeping at a constant temperature as well as filtering the chamber during and after printing. I run this and the hot plate to heat the chamber prior to the start of the print. You may want to tape the doors as well. It does not eliminate all odor but it helps.
I do not recommend building this if you are not comfortable with electrical wiring, modified G-code and more.
This is a 24vdc version as that was the power supply I had laying around, feel free to use whatever you want.
This version has a 24v 100w PTC heater, dual 15x50 fans, carbon pellets, hepa filter and a tempuerature controller. I have attached a BOM that lists everything with some other options depending on what you want to do. Some parts I had others can from Ali and Amazon.
Note: I am switching to the 200w unit to heat faster.
The fans I chose have a high pressure rating to push through the filter media (carbon/hepa) and are designed to stay on as long as power as applied. The heater unit has a microswitch that will cut off the PTC heater at the end of the print with a G-code mod added. There is also a channel to add a thermal cut out for a backup as well.
2 options for the heater. With and without the thermal channel.
2 options for the fan assy. Top or side mounted
3 options for the filter. A combo unit that uses the block charcol and a short and tall that use pellets, they are just sized for the amount of media you want.
The side mounted micro switch (with glue) must be attached then sat in place and the lever bent to your bed so that when the bed is lowered it trips off power to the heater. Add the G-code and adjuct from 250 as instructed or as low as 256. then adjust the switch to trip power to the heater. The fans keep running and scrubbing tha air. The power cable runs around and out the back. And the temp probe is in the back but can be put anywhere thats out of the way.
I also installed the isolation panels done by AP Engineering (Poop cover, Top Electronic seal, Bach Electronic seal (both) and Top Vent seal)
