Description

An alternative way to print your filament samples…

Floppy Samples!

The walled sections are for 1mm, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm.

The examples are all printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, and a 0.1mm layer height.

The external dimensions of the floppy are 40.05mm x 41.85mm x 2mm.

There are three variations:

  • Standard (for a printed label
  • With text (customise in slicer)
  • NFC

Floppy Samples (Standard)

This supports a label of size 32mm x 24mm.

Personally, I use https://3dfilamentprofiles.com/ and the Brother P-touch CUBE printer for the labels.

Floppy Samples (with text)

In case you don't have a label printer, customise the text in Bambu Studio to your liking.

Floppy Samples (NFC)

This supports the NTAG215 NFC standard, with a diameter of 25mm and thickness of 0.2mm.

Make sure it's not the NFC card, but the NFC sticker. The difference is the thickness of the NFC.

Printing info:

  • Set a pause at layer 10
  • Insert the NFC sticker
  • Print layer 11 at a slower speed

(this should exist in the print profile)
