These clips were originally designed to contain the hose of my pressure washer. I wanted a one piece, wrap around clip that would be strong enough to keep everything in place and would not break after being used a few times. Printed in PETG, once removed from the build plate the hinge is activated by holding the arms closest to the hinge and rotating the clip to open it.
The clip is closed by pushing the free ends together and re-opened by sliding the ends apart in a shear motion.
I kept the print settings optimised and this seems to produce a strong enough clip for my needs but I'm interested to know if this is any good for anyone else.
Note: The design has been optimised for use with PETG, because it is tougher, more flexible and has better moisture resistance than PLA.
It is therefore recommended that PLA is not used.
