Description

I 3D modelled this little Escape/Number Keycap for my Razer Huntsman Mini so I can customize the colors a bit more and don´t need to buy a whole set.

If you have a filament changing printer like the bambulab combos with the ams system, you can use PLA as Interface layer support when the Keycap is made out of PETG or the other way around. You can turn down the the Top Z distance to 0 (like for water soluble Materials like PVA), without the materials bonding together to hardly. The different material properties of PETG and PLA makes it possible to use the different material as break-away filament (which is pretty pricy). If you only use the different material for the interface layers, you´ll need less filament changes so that means less time and less material wastes.

 

If you don´t have a filament chaning printer:

I printed the keycap in the cover picture with a single filament, you´ll probably just need to put a bit more effort in cleaning up the supports.

It´s totally possible to print it with a average printer like an ender 3.

 

I don´t know if the printer can handle printing the keycap without any supports but if you test it, please let me know what the results are like and leave a make or comment.

 

I printed mine with layer hights of 0.08 for the perfect quality.

 

I used mine for the Escape key but it´ll fit on the numberkeys as well.
