Parametric Book Aligner
Print Profile(1)

Description
Brief Description
A parametric piece that leaves your books so perfectly aligned that even the most meticulous librarian would applaud. It aligns the top and front edge of up to 10 books; the user only needs to enter the dimensions of each book and the minimum base and back thicknesses. If you have more books, make several pieces and assemble a happy row of bookshelves.
Parameters
- Number of books: integer, max. 10.
- Measurements per book: ordered list with up to 10 entries.
- Minimum thickness below: number in mm; thickness of the base under the books.
- Minimum thickness behind: number in mm; thickness of the back support for the spines.
- Units: mm.
Usage Instructions
- Enter the books in the order they will be placed (left to right).
- Define the minimum thickness below so the base doesn't tip over with the weight.
- Define the minimum thickness behind so the back support cradles the spines without suffocating them.
- If the sum of widths exceeds your print bed, divide into several pieces and join them like carriages of a literary train.
Design Notes and Limitations
- Maximum 10 books per piece; for more, generate additional pieces.
- Minimum thickness recommended: not less than 2–3 mm to prevent the base from going “uh-oh” under load.
- It is not designed to hold gym weights; it's an aligner, not a scaffold.
- Parametric design: change measurements and the model adapts without drama.
- You can customize it with letters on the front!!!
