Description
Design Concept This is a functional, "print-in-place" doorstop designed for utility. Unlike smooth wedges that slide across hardwood floors, this model features deep, industrial-style traverse ribs. These ridges bite into the door edge and create friction, ensuring the door stays exactly where you put it.
Key Features:
- Deep Traction Ribs: Prevents the door from slipping backward, even on smooth surfaces like the wood flooring shown in the photos.
- Steep Wedge Angle: Accommodates a wide range of door-to-floor gaps, from tight squeezes to high-clearance doors.
- Rounded Heel: Softened back edges to prevent snagging and give it a finished, professional look.
Recommended Materials:
- Best Performance: TPU (95A). Printing this in flexible TPU makes it virtually unmovable on tile or wood and protects your door paint.
- Good Alternatives: PETG or PLA+. If printing in rigid plastic, this works excellently on carpet or rugs. For hard floors, I recommend sticking a small rubber pad on the bottom.
