A HueForge painting I made of the Death Star being built.
I had to modify original image (provided in the listing) to boost color, contrast, and make the stars a size which would print well on my printer. I went through a couple iterations but also added the original picture (but not model) if preferred!
Color changes:
- Start with Black
- At layer #11 (1.04mm) swap to Dark Blue
- At layer #14 (1.28mm) swap to Gray
- At layer #15 (1.36mm) swap to Dark Blue
- At layer #16 (1.44mm) swap to Gray
- At layer #19 (1.68mm) swap to White for the rest.
For filament I used:
- Bambu Labs Jade White
- Bambu Labs Black
- Bambu Labs Grey
- A matte blue-grey that is missing the manufacturer that I bought on Amazon a year or two ago
Some settings to try modifying:
- Layer ironing - I ran into some really inconsistent results with layer ironing and decided to leave it off because it made the black too glossy for my taste
- Retraction/Z-hop - There was some stringing between the stars on my last version, that might help?
