Description

Summary

Tried this hangboard, might have it install upside down idk. Either way it is not a good hangboard because of the sharp edges, meaning it is a test of pain tolerance and not strength.

This hangboard is a copy of lattice's tripple rung hangboard / lattice's tripple twins hangboard. Support them if you feel bad or something idk. I don't have the exact hangboard to measure everything and had to make assumptions while designing it. I assumed that the tip of the crimp bevel and the farthest point back was the 20mm, so this means that it could have a smaller edge than the actual hangboard.

Im not the rawest climber, so im not able to test it with 1 handed hanging, but the thing feels incredibly solid at 40% infil. It should work fine with 1 hand on the 45mm and 20mm rung, might be a bit suspicious on the 10mm rung. Its not like your life is gunna depend on it not snapping on the 10mm rung with 1 hand on though. 100% for 2 handed without a doubt unless you start adding like 50kg of weight, then again the 10mm rung might be a bit suspicious. you know, now that im writing this, i really should have just made the rung a little bit thicker, like im actually so dumb holy shit. anyways im not fixing it because it feels really solid.

the screw holes are a bit tight, so if your printer was never dialed in and your esteps are +/- 50mm, you might have to drill out the holes a little bit.

go look at the print settings. (don't forget to turn on fuzzy skin)

Print Settings

Infill:

40% or greater

Filament: anything that isnt gutter filament anything strong with a little bend like PETG

Notes:

ideally use dry filament

turn on fuzzy skin
fuzzy skin point distance: 0.4
fuzzy skin thickness: 0.2 for a smoother more rock climb hold feel. 0.4 for a very grippy feel.

rotate the thing so that the big flat backside is on the base. I could see it being printed on the side, but cannot vet for it working.
