First off, huge thanks to @ansonl for the great “Washington, USA (WA) Topographic Map with Hydrographic Features” model!
This is primarily just a 3mf set-up for Bambu printers with an AMS, however, I did increase the size to 255.00 x 172.09 x 9.00 mm. Because this is geared toward AMS usage, I only included the “dual” files.
I include 2 3mfs, one has simplified models, the other doesn't (it takes a hot minute to slice).
I don't know why, but every time I open the file, the purge tower has relocated too close to the map, so make sure you move it before slicing!
If you're using the version that hasn't been simplified, it can take several minutes to actually slice.
On my Bambu X1 Carbon, this took a bit under 17 hrs to print.
My Make
wa-sqrt-dual-transparent-v1.3 scaled up to 255.00x172.09x9.00mm and printed with Overture Green Starlight PLA [1] & Amolen Transparent Blue PLA [2].
Nice, easy print!
I went with the square root scale and love it!
When I got the Overture Green Starlight, I was concerned that it would be too purple, but it turned out great! It's mostly green, but from different angles, it takes on a brownish color. It is more sparkly than I would have liked, but it still makes for a nice "land" color.
On the other hand, I ended up using a whiter section of the the Amolen Transparent Blue, which I really don't like. I may actually end up printing a second one, and explicitly start this filament at a stronger blue portion of the spool.
