This is an adapter plate that is designed for larger rear speakers in a 3rd Gen 4Runner. These were specifically designed for the JVC CS-J620 Speakers but most 6.5 inch car speakers should work. The only extra part you will need is a slightly longer screw that goes through the speaker and plate before attaching to the door panel itself (I don't know the name of the screw). As for the connector that you have to remove from the original plate, you should be able to mount that anywhere that isn't metal/touching metal (I used carpet tape and mounted it to the plastic sheet that covers the whole door).
