Description
ENVERLOPE designed by Printedin3D/3DDruckjunkies
I wanted to make a gift to my friend who is also passionate about 3D printing. I found some envelopes online, but unfortunately, these models cracked when folded. Since I really liked the idea, I designed the model myself and tested it for months.
I designed the model to be easy to print and to avoid any complications. The connecting pieces that make the parts foldable are printed in mid-air to prevent tearing when removing them from the plate.
The structured plate creates a beautiful pattern inside and makes it shiny.
I use PLA and PLA+, but PETG will also work. It is important to use a layer height of 0.12 for the settings. I use the 0.12mm Fine profile from Bambu Studio.
IMPORTANT!!!
Make sure the first layer of the overhang looks like this. (This is only possible if the layer is 0.12 or smaller).

PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!
When folding the part, be very careful to quickly heat the thin areas of the model with a lighter, a hot air soldering iron or a hairdryer.
PLEASE do this quickly and do not stay on it for too long. It's better to test it more often to see if it folds easily. If it folds well, let it cool briefly and it's ready.
stay safe
OPENING THE ENVELOPE
Once you've sealed the envelope, you can apply slight pressure from the outside and gently bend it. Then it will open easily.
