Description

Companion Cube mini cooler/ ice chest. It will hold 6 mini soda cans (7.5fl oz) with room for ice. Outer box and Lid were printed with PETG and all trim pieces were in ABS (except on lid, ran out of ABS). The 3mf file filaments are listed as PLA, change to your preference.

  1. When assembling, spray bottom of the outer box with spray foam (as shown in pic) before seating inner box. Once seated spray slowly around the inner box until reaching top. Let set till dry then trim off excess foam that spread out.

2. Glue inner box trim onto tabs of the inner box and outer box. Make sure its seated all the way.

3. Sand the areas where the trim pieces will be glued on for better adhesion.

4. For gluing the trim onto the lid, i suggest using card stock between trim and outer edge to give a bit of gap along so the lid will remove and be replaced easier.

5. I used clear silicone to seal the inner box trim along its edges where it seats to inner box and outer box to keep water from entering the foam gap area.

Be patient when assembling making sure all foam is dry and all glue is dry. I did sand the outer box and quickly regretted it. Up to you if you want that sanded look

Happy printing everyone!

This looks awesome even if you didn't like the sanding.
