LOVE (Il Dito) Pen Holder

L.O.V.E., also known as Il Dito, is a sculpture by Maurizio Cattelan of a hand in the roman salute pose with all the fingers cut off except the middle one. The sculpture, built in 2010, is made of 11 meters of Carrara marble and contrasts with the stock exchange building in Piazza degli Affari in Milan, which was built during the fascist era. This way the sculpture seems to be an ironic critique on both the fascism and the financial system after the 2007–2008 crisis.
Each cut finger has a hole that fits most of the pens.
