For my 3D printer setup, I used the IKEA IVAR shelving system.
I had the printer on one shelf and the filament spools on another shelf at the top. I don’t have any better pictures anymore, but I used that setup for about 5 years and it was never a problem.
- Cut a hole in an IVAR shelf.
- Print the parts.
- Fit the main parts into the hole.
- Slide the covers part into the main part. It should hold itself, but you can use glue for a permanent installation (I did).
For the filament spool holder I used this one:
I changed my setup when I got the AMS and no longer needed this simple yet perfectly fine solution.
