Description

Just add a string and some peanut butter.

Clean the track with a knife so the door can easily fall down.

Have tried many traps but have noticed that mice do not like trapdoors or doors that they have to push on, so I designed this one.

UPDATE

I had a motion detector camera and have noticed that sometimes the mouse triggers the trap and the door falls onto the back of the mouse. and it can get out.

Have now updated the files so the trigger plate is shorter and the whole trap a little longer.

Found that some mice can open the hatch from the inside, so updated the trap so a hook locks the hatch when triggered.

It all assembled well. Fingers crossed I get a mouse soon!

It didn't work, but I did have 2 smart mice. They kept stealing from the snap traps and would even put weight on them without going off. They seemed to enjoy the dark hide of the printed trap, but I guess were too light to pull the pin. I even oiled up the pin and barely placed it in the hole hoping it would help. I did manage to get them via snap trap eventually.
