Description

Is your 2150 fan dying and needs replaced? Is the cooling system for the hot end “inadequate” for you? Well, here's you're solution. It's designed around my other fan shroud, but made for this use case. I went through one prototype that can be seen in the fifth photo. I have the fan shown on the first photo, but some 4010 blower fans are shown in some photos. The sound is 60 dB stock when near the machine, and 50 dB without the low noise adapter and the other fans (mainboard, PSU) replaced. The fan that is used is this 24V 4 pin Noctua 4010 fan as it requires no soldering and no buck converters. Although, with the slits on the sides, you can get away with taping in any old 4010 fan with electrical tape and keeping it in place. For screws, you may be able to get away with using all of the stock screws (like me), but for a more permanent look, use some flat M3 4mm screws. For the version, I recommend using the 2nd version, but the first is a bit lighter. For instructions, refer to this Reddit post. Use it for your needs, and indulge in this design. Add my other fan shroud to your rig, and it will complete it. Enjoy!

APRIL 20 UPDATE: I was unfortunately not able to make it to RMRRF today, as my dad has been having some cardiovascular issues (slower heart rate). As an apology, I have added 2 new lighter fan shrouds, and will add updated photos soon as the fan is now installed.
