In my work I often have to program and test multimedia players with GPIO connectors (for example Brightsign or simple Raspberry Pi). Regardless of what the actual activator will be (PIR sensor, relay, etc.), I always had NO buttons scattered around on the desk, I got tired of it. So I designed some simple button boxes.
I have created several models, in particular 2 have 12mm or 16mm front holes to be able to use GX12 or GX16 connectors in order to quickly change the type of cable, while one has a hole for a 6.5mm cable.
The 2 upper covers have 4 or 8 holes for 7mm buttons, I used small buttons to keep the size of the box contained so that I can carry it around comfortably without taking up space.
For assembly I used M3 threaded inserts and M3 screws, as well as any GX12 or GX16 connector depending on the version chosen!
