Description

This is a heddle / backstrap weaving loom (not sure of the actual name in English) I made for my girlfriend.

It fits the build plate of a BambuLab X1C, P1S and P1S perfectly.

 

Required parts and material:

  • 1x loom_hears.stl
  • 2x handle.stl
  • 2x cap.stl
  • 2x cap.stl (mirrored)
  • 4x M3 brass insert
  • 4x M3 screws

 

How to print:

Everything is printed in PLA.

I printed loom.stl with 100% infill for extra sturdiness, the rest can be printed with a 20% infill and 3 walls.

I used 20mm brim for the handles as those are very tall and quite thin parts.

The loom part has an hear in each corner to help for bed adhesion (you can print loom.stl instead of loom_hears.stl if you don't want that).

If you don't want to use brass inserts, you can print handle_no_insert.stl instead of handle.stl and use the screw to tap the hole (not tested).

Printed fantastic! I used some wood screws to attach the end caps. I will try to learn how to weave now :)

thanks for this one! I made one from translucent PETG and it printed beautifully. I also saved a bunch of time by printing the handles on their sides with supports.
