Description

Happy Leap Day!

Well it's a weird day, so I tried something weird. Just got a roll of the blue translucent and wanted to see how it worked. Google's homepage image was a frog today and it inspired me to throw this together. I made it thinner than my usual coasters and upped the size to make sure the 0.6 nozzle would get all the details. The majority of the print is in blue translucent and I added a bit of gyroid infill hoping it would add to the water effect. The transparent parts run the entire depth of the item. The print profile is setup for the 0.6 nozzle and has most of Bambu's recommendations for trans-filaments (I couldn't be bothered to slow everything down to 20 but the rest is accurate I think).

Things I'd improve: I'd probably add a hole in Bambu Slicer so it can hang it on a window and I think a darker colour for the 2024 would be better. Also maybe one less shell layer for the bottom so the frog isn't as bold..but its not too bad. Maybe only one shell layer at bottom, zero at top with an open gyroid fill at the back? We shall see about that…about that we shall see…let the experiments begin.

All colours are PETG: green, transparent (white) and blue translucent.
