Description

I came across a fidget design on AliExpress and decided to create a version that could be easily 3D printed. This design eliminates the need for additional hardware, relying solely on magnets for its functionality. To assemble it, you'll require 11 neodymium magnets (or 12 if opting for the 5x1 version).

There are three variations available:

5x3mm Magnets: This version offers a robust click with a strong magnetic pull, but it may be challenging to operate with one hand due to its strength.

5x2mm Magnets: With a satisfying click and moderate magnetic force, this version is easier to use single-handedly while still providing an audible feedback.

5x1mm Magnets: Although producing a quieter click, this version offers the easiest one-handed operation. However, note that the magnets may not protrude enough from the top part to stop at the end of the rails. Additionally, an extra magnet is needed to ensure it's not too light to handle. If opting for 6mm magnets, scale the model to 111% in both X and Y dimensions (credit to Carlos on Printables for this tip).

It's advisable to use glue to secure the magnets in place, as they tend to dislodge even when snugly fitted into the holes.
