Description

A box especially designed for holding passports with an aesthetically pleasing low-profile hinge, thick enough for extra-thick passport booklets, and 360° overlapping edge for improved water-intrusion prevention. Interior bumps help keep the case closed while still allowing it to be easily opened using the subtle but tactile thumb tab on the front.

The default model also includes a clip that slides into a slot on the side of the lid for holding documents or cards.

Some models have customizable text on the cover, designed to be printed on the first layer in a different color.

All profiles use a hilbert curve on the interior and exterior faces for a nice matte finish

Like all print-in-place hinge objects, I recommend a smooth plate, PEI or other. The print should also be allowed to cool down fully before removing, in order to prevent warping in the hinges. It might also need a few rotations to fully break-in the hinge, as the plastic has to wear down slightly to get a smooth rotation.

For models that include the sliding clip, insert it into the slot on the top left side of the case and slide it down to the vertical center of the case.

For help editing the text on the models which include it, see this video:
