Description

I designed an all screw version thats alittle cleaner design wise. You can find V2 of this model here. https://makerworld.com/en/models/444126#profileId-350360

This is a mini nuke deck box. The Deck Cavity is 76x76x100mm. This should fit most decks even double sleeved decks. The top screws on to the dice holder and the side holder sits on top of the deck box. I designed this to be supportfree. There is a long bridge that will be needed on the dice holder. Let me know if you would like to see a version with magnets.

Update:

Added an A1 Mini Version. Everything is the same except the I split the Main Part into 2 pieces and you can screw them together.

Here is a print from a person who downloaded it.

Check out the mini nuke life counter as well. https://makerworld.com/en/models/484651#profileId-397051

Update:

I received interest in a magnet version. I have added that and a single sleeved and a double sleeved version. Below are the magnets I picked to fit this box. let me know if you need different sizes and I will try and add them.

I have not tested these magnets but I left a 3.5mm space for each one so they should fit fine.

This is awesome ! I love it ! May I suggest a version where we can screw the top to the Nuke ? Like the top is 2 parts together, if we can screw the 2 parts together to the Nuke, we don't need magnets anymore and it would be awesome. I don't know if it's realistic or not to be honest, but if you lower the space for fingers inside the nuke, I'm pretty sure there will be enough space to make a hollow border to scew the top, and it will the most solid version !

I'm with you 100%. I think the way I know how to make threads it increases the size of the overall box and it's already huge. Take a look at the sensei's diving top screw on version I have and see if that's what you are thinking.

I just checked, and maybe not exactly like the Sensei's one as like you said, it will increase the size. My option don't increase it, It just need a hollow border on the base, and 2 extrude on the top that can screw on the bottom with the right form. I can try to make a better example if it's not clear ! (it will be a tight screw form but with the size of the box, it will be ok to print)

Yeah I don't quite understand what you want. I am totally looking for a better screw process because I want to get rid of magnets. Do you have a model that uses the type of screw you are talking about? I'd want to download it and check it out.

Printed out great on the A1 with AMS. The top portion that connects to the main print needs some stronger / larger magnets though. If you tip it upside down, the top falls off. I think I will just drill some holes and glue some 6mm ones in to see how that works.

Hey if you end up doing that let me know how it goes and I'll update this design. This magnet version was specifically requested by a community member and I wasn't able to test it. I could see bigger magnets working better. Please let me know what you find out.

I ended up putting in some 6mm x 3mm magnets and they work great. I only had 6 left or would have done 8 total, but 6 holds the top on pretty well. I ended up drilling into some infill, but I think if you model in the larger holes, you would be fine.

Loved the print, it is going to make a great deck box. Painted it a bit and it came out pretty nice. I did mess up with how I set up my supports on the nose cone and didn't process it as much as I probably should have in post. Magnets work great for it. Love your work.

Yeah pretty much gravity. I can throw some spot for magnets. I just never know what size to throw in it.

Something like this, where the dice holder has the sides filled in (dice wouldn't fit in those parts anyway), and stick 4 3mm by 3mm diameter holes for magnets (that's around 2kg of force if perfectly fitted, half when it isn't). If someone does manage to make the magnets fit perfectly, then you can just unscrew the top and pry them apart. Or an option where there is no dice holder, with magnets again. Just means anyone with a crap printer that can't do a long bridge or doesn't want to use supports has an option. I wonder if you could incorporate a life tracker on it as well, like a spinning ring somewhere along the bomb with notches for numbers. Eitherway, if you're able to update it so there is a magnetized version I'll happy get the model from somewhere paid!

Yeah no problem. I’ll probably have it done sometime next week. Thank you for really spelling out what you need. I thought about filling in the space you were talking about anyway. I definitely can offer multiple versions. A life tracker is something I’ve wanted to add into my other deck boxes. That’s another level of engineering I’m interested in but haven’t tackled.

This was so much fun to create! Printed on an A1 mini and painted. I wish the magnet option was available for the A1 mini print file but mine fits great together!

A1 Mini Version
The lid was a bit to snug, sanded it a bit down and now it fits tightly but it is not impossible to put on, i love the model and the problem i had might be because of some random thing on my end :) I have sanded and purposely made dents in it, it is printed with multicolor, however i have made the mistake of purging color in infill combined with to few walls so the green bleeds a bit through on the stabilizers.
