Catan Grid - Modular and Stackable

Description
Minimalistic Catan Grid:
Inspiration:
This design was insprired out of a simple frustration: pieces shifting around the board whenever someone placed a street or settlement — or bumped the table a little too hard.
After searching online for a clean and compact Catan grid, I couldn't find a model that matched my preferences. Most versions were either made for different editions of the game or had tiles spaced unnaturally far apart, which broke the visual flow of the board.
So I decided to take matters into my own hands: a modular, stackable, and minimalistic Catan grid that keeps everything neatly in place without changing the look and feel of the game.
Features:
Modular Design:
Each grid segment securely clicks together, allowing you to build only the layout you need. Easy assembly, easy rearranging.
Water Pieces:
The water pieces are designed so they cannot connect on all sides, but only on those that are needed to build the outside of the board.
Stackable for Storage:
The pieces are designed so the same parts nest together — with or without a tile inside — so the entire set takes up minimal space in your game box.
Optimized Tolerances:
Tight tolerances ensure the game tiles fit snugly without wobbling, while still being easy to insert or remove.
Space-Efficient:
Roads slot between tiles and are held in place by them, requiring almost no extra space.
Villages and cities have a slightly looser fit by design to maintain a clean, unobtrusive aesthetic. Feedback and improvement suggestions are very welcome!
Game Pieces:
Please verify your game version before printing — Catan editions can vary!
- Hex Tiles: ~79 mm
- Village: ~14 × 9.4 mm
- City: ~18.8 × 10.1 mm
- Street (Road): ~25.2 × 5 mm
Colors:
Standard Tile: BambuLab PLA Matte Desert Tan (11401)
Water Tile: PolyMaker PolyTerra PLA Muted Blue
Note: Using the grid will take more time to assemble and unassemble the game!
Update 17.12.2025: As the game pieces (Roads, Villages and Cities) are not all exactly the same sizes, I also added printable pieces that will perfectly fit into the board. Villages and cities are then also kept in place. Works for non-AMS users as well!

Every boost is highly appreciated! I've just started with modeling and have spent quite a bit of time coming up with the design!
Thanks!
