Slide System is a modular cover system designed for the Realme GT, with the option to adapt to other variants or models via CAD modification of the base.

The system is based on a main platform equipped with a slide rail with a mechanical clip locking mechanism, designed to ensure quick, stable, and repeatable attachment between the cover and the accessory modules.
The slide represents a standardized interface, conceived as a universal base for the smartphone's functional expansion.

The project draws inspiration from the Gridfinity approach, applied on a smaller scale to the smartphone format.
The goal is not to provide a closed set of accessories, but an open modular platform, on which each user can design, print, and use their own modules, based on their functional needs or aesthetic preferences.

The Slide System allows for the creation of any type of module, such as:

small object holders

cable holders or emergency adapters

mini tabletop stands that can be used both vertically and horizontally

adjustable ball-and-socket holders

slots for cards, cash, or personal accessories

photo, video, or selfie mounts

Some of these modules can already be prototyped, while others simply represent examples of the system's capabilities: module design is intentionally free and not constrained by predefined shapes or functions.

The basic platform is available in various geometries (e.g., square or round), which are compatible with each other and designed to facilitate rapid prototyping in 3D printing.

The modules can take any shape—round, square, polygonal, or completely customized—as long as they comply with the docking interface.

Each module designed according to this standard is interoperable, promoting:

Slide System transforms the case from a simple protective casing to an evolving modular platform, expandable over time and geared towards user design freedom.

Slide System è un sistema di cover modulare progettato per Realme GT, con possibilità di adattamento ad altre varianti o modelli tramite modifica CAD della base.

Il sistema si basa su una piattaforma principale dotata di binario a slitta con meccanismo di blocco a clip meccanica, studiato per garantire un aggancio rapido, stabile e ripetibile tra la cover e i moduli accessori.
La slitta rappresenta un’interfaccia standardizzata, concepita come base universale per l’espansione funzionale dello smartphone.

Il progetto prende ispirazione dall’approccio Gridfinity, applicato in scala ridotta al formato smartphone.
L’obiettivo non è fornire un set chiuso di accessori, ma una piattaforma modulare aperta, sulla quale ogni utente possa progettare, stampare e utilizzare i propri moduli, in base alle proprie esigenze funzionali o preferenze estetiche.

Slide System consente la realizzazione di moduli di qualsiasi tipo, ad esempio:

porta oggetti di piccole dimensioni

supporti per cavi o adattatori di emergenza

mini stativi da tavolo utilizzabili sia in verticale che in orizzontale

Alcuni di questi moduli possono essere già prototipati, mentre altri rappresentano semplici esempi delle possibilità offerte dal sistema: la progettazione dei moduli è intenzionalmente libera e non vincolata a forme o funzioni predefinite.

La piattaforma di base è disponibile in diverse geometrie (ad esempio quadrata o tonda), compatibili tra loro e pensate per favorire la prototipazione rapida in stampa 3D.
I moduli possono assumere qualsiasi forma — tonda, quadrata, poligonale o completamente personalizzata — purché rispettino l’interfaccia di aggancio.
