SPOOL DRYER
For Bambu Lab spools Silicagel container
If there's one thing that has always driven me crazy, it's maintaining the high quality of my filament to always get perfect prints.
The dryer is convenient, but it's not very economical electrically, and let's face it, 12 hours of drying for a PETG filament, perhaps for a quick and simple print, is really too much. After trying other models, I decided to create a personalized and very simple model.
1. You open it and insert it into the central hole of the spool; it fits perfectly, so there are no positioning problems;
2. You fill it with Silicagel
3. You close the cap, and you're done.
The edges on the two ends prevent the container from slipping out. This is useful for those, like me, who sometimes don't have time to extract the spool and store it under vacuum immediately after printing. In fact, the special feature that makes this container useful is that it can always be left inserted, even when the spool is working inside the AMS.
My advice is to print it in PETG so that there are no problems with material softening if you decide to dry it at 55 degrees (I never remove the container, not even when drying the filament in the AMS).
