The X1C Side Spool was the first serious model I designed from the ground up, it is driven by my practicality and is sturdy and economical. I've utilised the original Metal bracket and mounting points, additionally there is a second PTFE arm which requires one of those stray Nozzle screws that typically get thrown in the drawer. It prints easily in PLA and requires no supports, a clean plate and calibrated filament will see great results.
The Bracket mounts securely to the original mounting points and the original metal holder goes in the side and is easily removed if you want. Two m3x16mm screws attach to the mounting points, a length of PTFE sweeps around to the rear connection. There is little advantage having this PTFE short, make the length to suit a free curve with no kinks.
*Updated PFTE Arm added due to feedback of hole size being irregular (this can be filament/calibration variations). The new arm is also in the full model as a second plate. You will need a Nozzle screw to install the Pivot head, alternative is a standard M3x16 screw.
