Description

The first decent “splitter” came out with the A1 Mini, it was a functional junction point for 4 PFTE filament feeds. It was quickly picked up by many as an alternative for the many printed splitters in the wild, some of which were notoriously bad. I managed to get one of the first release and spent time in fusion to get the top fitting just right. My stringent requirement for a perfect fit was realised with this current version. There are no overhangs and it can be printed upright with no supports. The PC4-M10 fitting is easily screwed in by hand, the thread is 100% dimensionally correct (special fusion trick). As for the mount, that is adapated from my other 4-in-1 Top mount which is linked below.

Parts required:

  • A1 Lite Hub (with tab removed)
  • PC4-M10 Fitting for the PTFE
  • Two m3x16 screws to attach mount

**This 4-in-1 Adaptor Top Mount is also available if you've managed to snag one in stock.

**This Tri-Tool comes in handy for PTFE and Buffer Plug removal.

@GenericUser Before I print this one, or the other 4-n-1 adaptor you linked, which is a "better" hub to purchasee, both the original 4-in-1 and the new A1 Mini one are in stock ffor me .. and I already purchased and on the way the original 4-in-1 but at i can order the newer A1 mini version if fits "better" ?

I find they both worked the same internally, and have used both for long periods with no issue. The main difference, the A1Lite version needs the adaptor on top with the PC4-M10 fitting. If you have a fitting, I'd be inclined to go this way as its in stock and gets you a working junction. The X/P series hub is all inclusive and no other adaptor is needed, its just hard to find at times.

@GenericUser Tthanks - I have the X\P series hub coming already, so guess I will use that then - its for a an improved splitter for the external spool holder etcc. I have the fittings and previously made one off the other "Y" like spiltters with them for the Spool holder\AMS Buffer output, but just upgrading it to using a proper AMS Bambui mini hub. For my actual AMS cconnections, I have the proper original big square hub that replaces the "buffer" etc

Thanks for the design! I printed the AMS lite version as I had a spare thinking my original would break, but didnt like that I had to break the tab.... Then I saw that there was a version for the X1C on the bambu store... Was in stock so ordered it... Will wait to print the other version... Perhaps edit your initial post with this link so others are aware this solution exists https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/spare-parts-for-x1-series/products/bambu-4-in-1-ptfe-adapter
