⚙️ Automatic Retracable Cable Organizer ⚙️

You are getting annoyed by cable “flying” around your home … that's what I was 😅

So, I designed this cable organizer … it's not only a normal one which you have to manually wind up, I wanted it simple and cool to use … it should just feel good everytime you use it.

Right now, it can only retract 1m cables, but I'll add support for 2m cables in the future :-)

What you need in addition to the printed parts?

1x metal spring measuring 0.3 × 7 × 2600 mm which you can buy for example here at eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/156342286034?var=457407944918)
1x any spring from a ballpoint pen should be fine ;-)

⚠️ Important Note

  1. Do print the hook plate BEFORE the case, ideally with PETG. On the case plate there is a stop integrated, where you can place the little ballpoint pen spring together with the hook inside
  2. During final assembly (see assembly instructions), remember that the flat spring stores a significant amount of force. Be cautious when pressing the release button—the mechanism will be under load
  3. Have fun at building ;-)
