Description

There are a few time the poop chute get clogged up with extended poop like a hook. Most of the time, the poop will hang over the top of the blade flap. It will start to accumulate more poops for multi-colour prints and that may lead to fail prints.

There are few poop chute cover out there, but none of them stop the poop from clinging over the blade flap.

Feel free to remix this model (STEP file in RAW download), hot filament will not be an issue usually because the tool head will cool down the filament before cutting it loose, but I still recommended to print with PETG, ABS, ASA materials.

I only tested it on my P1S, I do not have X1C or P1P if they fit as well.

Additional mod appears in the photo due to popular question; it's the A1 wiper mod for P1 X1.

I noticed that when purging a large amount of filament, like at the end of the spool and the print just finished, the left over filament in the PTFE types and extruder is purged and that can overwhelm the chute. in this case the stop causes the purged filament to get stuck between the stop and the chute. I think the stop that sits over the door/flap needs to move back some since it doesn’t sit directly above and aligned in the same space.

I'll have a look into this, in the meantime; are you able to push the cover a bit back, to see if it is sitting at the rear?

nice shape but didn’t work that well for me. as it is not fixed in anyway in the chute it would move backwards and lift as purge made it move. also does get close enough to the chute flap. thanks anyway

printed in PLA to check if it helps. Unfortunately it seams like don’t have a poop clog but a poop pop problem - the poop gets dragged out on the print bed. so I have to try another solution. For itself and it’s intended purpose a great and easy model!
