Description
A remix of the Iris mechanism for my cord hole cap.
No support, no glue, easy to print and assemble.
Note: Blades should be printed in the center of the bed to avoid warp cause failure. If your printer doesn't has good contition, you may need to add brim. But not completely removed brim will cause impact to the mechanism.
Quality check:
- Blades can slide smoothly along the rail if printed with PLA. If you feel resistance, the blade may have been affected by the seam, and you should reprint a replacement blade.
- If you feel hard to close, you can switch some blade to the high tolurence version blade.
- If you feel hard to open, you can switch some blade to the no tolurence version blade.
- By replace some of blades to bigger or smaller version, you can finetune to the sweetspot.
Change to the original:
(because I don't have cad file, I recreate from scratch, only inspire from the original)
- Add chamber to allow print without support, this also help to easier aseemble and allow auto correct possion by press the spint disk.
- Use grip pattern for the spin disk
- Use spring snap for the cap to remove nessesary for glue
