Description

Make your own tumbler, inspired by the recent fashion tumblers by Stanley. I don't have a laser engraver and I find that vinyl stickers just get peeled off easily. So why not 3D print a tumbler? At least partially.

Create your own tumbler shell with whichever filament color you can get a hold of, or utilize an AMS to create wonderful multi-color tumblers to really pop. This tumbler shell has been designed to fit a 20oz skinny tumbler, I designed this model to be used with the tumblers found Amazon. It is important to note that if a different tumbler is used then the shell must be modified to accommodate the one being used. Straight tumblers allow easy removal of the sleeve.

I allowed a few millimeters of the tumbler to be exposed above the rim of the shell to allow you to drink comfortably, this way it can prevent any spilling into the crevice between the tumbler and the shell. And there is a hole at the bottom to allow you to push the tumbler out for washing or filling.

This shell can be very tough and impact resistant, but I soon found out that the lids for the tumblers are not.

Fuzzy skin is highly recommended since most materials can show surface scratches, this is especially noticeable on silk or glossy filaments. YMMV.

Both printed with same PETG filament. Benchy was easy to scratch with fingernail, fuzzy cylinder required a bit more force.
