Description

Two themes in this house when it comes to designs.

  1. I make things like I am old or something - This time, something to pick up ping pong balls so I don't have to bend my old back.
  2. As we are designing and testing, my kids find a way to weaponize - this PickerUpper, can also shoot the ping pong balls.

We tried a bit of custom ‘supports’ on these - you'll notice they are not in the final designs (we failed miserably and I have a lot more experimenting to do). The supports in the final file work, I just wish they didn't require the post-processing effort (maybe in the future).

NOTE: The PickerUpper piece is oddly satisfying when the ball shoots through, this ‘stress’ requires the print to be horizontal as it is in the profile - otherwise they ‘fingers’ will break instead of bend.

Note on the Hooks: You can just set the tube on the hooks when in use horizontally. But you can also kind of twist/click the pipe's circle holes into the hooks (as well as kind of twist/unlick when you want to get them out). When clicked in, you can also store when the table is in the upright position.

You may notice my earlier ping pong holder in the below picture (https://makerworld.com/en/models/166872). Less bulky/lower profile, simpler - maybe better, but this one's pretty fun too.
