Description

This kit card is based on the famous Blue Angels U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron's F/A-18 Hornet Fighter jet. Create a nice formation flight display on your office desk by printing out multiple models! Cut the parts out with pliers, nail sissors or hobby knife. The assembly is easy and self explanatory. The parts should fit together tightly, but you can always use a bit of super glue to secure the parts together. If you don't need the frame I uploaded the model without it. Please keep in mind that the fine texts and details require very fine lines on the first layer so you need perfect bed adhesion. I recommend to use some adhesion spray like 3dLac. Stay tuned for more kit card planes! Have fun printing it!

Another incredible model! I love the detail with the painting and like I said before it really takes your models above a lot of the other ones posted here. I can’t wait for your next one!

@pbbence1994 I am blown away by the design quality and artistic fidelity of this model. If you don't mind me asking, how did you achieve painting the artwork and numbers? Obviously it wasn't done in the slicer. Was this generated as an .obj file with a material file? Embossing? Thanks!

Nice print!! One suggestion I have would be to have the wings print face up so the bottom of it has the textured bed finish on the part of the wings that face upright when you assembly it (Refer to last picture. See how the textured part faces down and you never really see it. The textured part should face upright so it blends in with the rest of the body)
