3/23/26: Added a second print profile with looser tolerances for easier installation and removal. Recommended if your print fits too tightly or is difficult to assemble.
I designed this wall mount to display the Skyrim Steel War Axe created by JayMakes on MakerWorld. The axe model came out great, but I needed a clean way to store and display it when not in use, so I built this modular mounting system.
The design includes two mounting options:
- A slot for a simple drywall nail
- Two holes compatible with a sawtooth picture frame hanger for more secure mounting.
I created the system in two pieces so it can be adapted for other props or weapons. The back plate stays the same, and you can design your own custom adapter to snap onto it. If you make your own adapter or remix, please tag me, I’d love to see what you create!
The mount features a snap-fit mechanism that securely locks the adapter to the plate. The included 3MF file uses adaptive layer heights and improved bridging settings for cleaner print results.
