Description

A simple remix of the top spin ring for the Umikot WDT tool that adds a finger loop for smoother, faster operation. I've found this method to be much easier to use than either the upper handle or handle-less options.

Printed to replace the top from the 58mm Umikot. Unfortunately it did not fit, it's too tight to fit. Used the default settings so not sure if they need further adjustments

Thanks for the feedback. It might be a tolerance issue with your printer as I've made several that fit without issue. Perhaps you can tweak your flow/extrusion settings or do outer/inner wall order in the slicer?

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that I used default Umikot print settings when I printed that model, and the default settings for your remix are a bit different to that - namely - the top shell layers for Umikot vs Remix respectively: Top Shell: 4 layers vs 5; Bottom shell layers 4 vs 3, Sparse infill density 15 vs 20, infill combination unchecked vs checked, brim object gap 0.1 vs 0.8mm. Would these settings need to be equal? One other thing I notice that the Umikot has a long 'needle' which protrudes from the top spin ring which is missing from your model. Was there a reason you omitted this from your remix? Cheers

Strange - I don't see that "needle" on the umikot either on makerworld or printables. Are you working off of a remix? Maybe that explains some of the differences?

Printed fine, but note that it doesn't work with the shorter version of the umikot.
